Week 1
9:25 AM Edit This 0 Comments »On the first week of learning the Teaching the Language of Drama, we had being assign by Dr. Edwin to answer several questions on point of view in the short stories. This is a good start to refresh our knowledge about what we have learned in Teaching the Language of Short Stories last semester. There were questions about types of point of view, how to differentiate between each type of point of view and many more. Then, we also been given extracts of short stories which we have to identify the point of view of the extracts and stated the reason why we choose the answer. By doing the exercises, I get to recall back that there were 5 types of point of view, which is the first person point of view that can easily recognize from the using of word ‘I’ in the story (often a major character). Then, there is the third person point of view, which is divided into three categories, which is omniscient, limited omniscient and objective point of view. For me, the exercises really help me to enhance my understanding towards the topic even more.
